Hi. I am 27 years old girl. I have a frequent urge to urinate, and when I do the stream is weak and painful. I went to see my doctor and he took a sample of my urine, to test it for pus and bacteria. Test showed I have a bladder infection. I also did urinalysis. I was prescribed with Amoxil. This is not my first bladder infection and don`t what to do any more. Anybody?
Hi. I have recurrent bladder infection. If you have had 3 UTIs, you are more likely to continue having them. I take low doses of Nitrofurant oin. Also, to avoid further infections, I have to drink plenty of water. I have to take showers, not tub baths and to avoid sprays and scented douches. Cranberry juice is very effective. I drink it all the time.
