Well, the implants are used for cosmetic appearance only and they will not restore any of the testicular functions.
Different people react differently to the implants depending on the implant material and other factors. All of these factors are discussed with a surgeon individually.
Sometimes, it may happen that a scar tissue forms around the implant causing capsules. This may cause discomfort and pain. Also, there is a possibility of a post op infection or blood loss into the surrounding tissue or poor wound healing.
Also, there are situations when implants shouldn’t be carried out like in untreated cancer, infection, following radiotherapy or other forms of trauma.
