Hi. It is just a simple blood test. I took HIV test most recently. They will just take your blood and you will get your results the very next day. HIV test includes HIV enzyme immunoassay and the Western blot assay. Testing means they will look for HIV antibodies in serum, plasma, oral fluid, dried blood spot, or in your urine. I took a blood test. It is important to know that the time between infection and the development of antibodies is 3-6 months. However, first they told me I have to wait for 6 months. Then, when the time has passed, they told me antibodies could`ve been detected after only a month.
