Hi i have discovered a lump on my right testicle. whet to my doctor to check it out and he ordered me to do an ultrasound. The results came back 2 days latter to my Doctor and he phoned me to infor me that everything is ok. However a months later i went to visit my doctor for something else and on the way out the receptionist has given me a ultrasound report.
In the report it says. THE INCIDENTAL FINDING OF A DIFFUSE INCREASE IN ECHOTEXTURE OF THE LIVERIS NOTED, CONSISTENT WITH UNDERLYING FATTY INFILTRATION.
He didn't mention anything to me. Can you tell me should i be worried and can you tell me in plain english what does all that mean.

Hi,
I believe that the ultrasound report was talking about evidence of something called "fatty liver", a very common occurrence these days (maybe 15-20% of the population!) It is apparently connected to obesity, or alcohol consumption, among other causes. It can be reversed, however, with a healthy diet and lifestyle. I'd talk to your doctor about it and see what he suggests.
