Just like any healthcare provider, you started generalizing things, but never gave anything worth listening to. I've read this entire thread, and nobody seems to have the answer to the pain that I am having in my life. For all the readers out there that NEED THIS QUESTION ANSWERED, quit correcting people, and post an answer. Thousands of people might be referred to this thread via googling their condition, and they come to find some stupid healthcare person correcting someone. If anybody can find someone that can help people like me that googled for support, please, find a doctor and get them on here so I can stop reading dumb posts like the one I quoted.

Thanks.

Well it IS sort of an important point that the healthcare provider mentioned. Fibroadenoma is not a cancer, the person who posted that it was a cancer wrongly said it was a cancer therefore potentially alarming people unnecessarily. It was something that needed to be pointed out.

FIBROADENOMA IS NOT BREAST CANCER!!!

But then, that's what happens when you make an appointment with Dr. Any-Anonymous-Idiot-On-Teh-Interwebs. Rolling Eyes

I can't believe someone posted something that ignorant, and I can't believe someone else posted something snarky (and equally as ignorant) about correcting the dangerously and irresponsibly WRONG answer. Telling someone something is cancer when it is not is criminally negligent and needs to be pointed out.

A sharp pain in your breast is a vague condition. Talk to a real doctor (although this is a three year old question, so I assume you figured it out one way or another by now). The internet is not the place to self-diagnose, but if you want to do some research re medical conditions or symptoms in conjunction with seeking genuine medical counseling, try a respected site such as the Mayo Clinic site or WebMD.

I am 19 years old and I am also having sharp, shooting pains in my right breast when I get up, cough, or sneeze or sometimes when I bend down... I noticed a bump on the outside which I just assumed was some sort of spider or bug bite... I noticed someone else said that they were experiencing back pain right behind the breast... I am too.

I am always over-worried about things like this but I am wondering if anyone had this checked and could tell me what a doctor has said because i do not have insurance.

I am 22 years old, and i too have discovered the same pains everyone is discribing. In my right breast i have a sharp pin feeling every once in a while. I find the pain to be in the middle of my right breast. Its not a muscle pain or pull i know what that feels like being very athletic. Its been like this now for almost a month, i honestly just thought it was growing pains or something. Anyways just recently went to my doctors, who has now sent me to get ultra sounds on both breast. I am nevous as hell but.......ya

My advice to all is think positive and see you doctor asap. The faster the better.

Good Luck To You Ladies!!!!

I just turned 18 and for the past month or two I have had the sharp, shooting pains, primarily in my right breast, occasionally in my left. Normally I just get one or two quick pains but this morning I was awaken by a series of these pains that didn't subside until about 4 minutes. I did a little research and found that something similar may happen due to pregnancy or menstrual cycle or menopause.. but I know I am NOT pregnant, and I am additionally on birth control and do not have my period and I can't be going through menopause this early, right? ha. I can't feel any lumps or anything but I called my doctor and she had a cancellation so I am going in today to get checked out. I'll let y'all know how it goes! (hopefully well)
