| ok. so im almost 17. i was supposed to start my period on Dec. 29/30 (2-3 days after i had had Protected Sex). but on the 29th, instead of my period starting like normal, it was this Dark Brown discharge. it wasn't alot but it kind of went on through out the day so i figured it was just old blood and in a day or so it would be normal but it hasn't been. a couple days ago i thought it was going to be normal because it was heavy and red, but that didn't last for long. now its back to dark brown but its really thick (mucous like), and its starting to worry me because this has never happened before. there also hasn't been any pain and there usually is some with my period. so i just want a little help because im kind of worried. Thanks. |

| I am 17 and I have the same thing. It started yesterday, 15 days after I had protected sex. I am worried. Is there a chance I might be pregnant? |

| I got my first period yesterday, and I didn't think it was my period because it so dark and thick, I actually thought I had somehow had an "accident", but I know I couldn't have possibly done that, especially three times in a day. It was really thick and mucous-y all yesterday, but today it slowed a lot and stopped. dont worry, all it is, is blood thats a few days old that was sitting in the uterus until there was contractions to push it out. and i didnt have any pain either, but i dont think it really matters, it was just a lucky time. and having sex shouldnt have caused it. |
