Hello, I am a female who is 27 years old. For some time I have this problem with thick mucus in my throat. Can you help me out and tell me what this is and what my options are? For everything you say I will be very grateful because I am getting desperate. Thank you in advance for everything.

You are experiencing post nasal drainage. The cause can be allergy or infection. I am not really sure which one is it. It is probably pretty difficult for you to get it out of your system by coughing. Try drinking lots of fluids. I really hope that this might do the trick. That is all I know. You should talk with your doctor if you have more questions.
