Posted: 04/24/08 - 17:08 Post subject: Thigh pains and my running times are slowing |
I am a runner for high school. I have been running distance for a few years and this year in cross country, I started having problems with my legs. During the cross country season, they just seemed to be tired all the time. Now, during track, they actually hurt. I still have the same mental toughness, but there is something wrong with my legs. I am a little over 1/2 way through the season, and I haven't improved at all. I didn't do any training before the season started, and I take one day off each week like I should. My times aren't getting any better for some reason and I have no idea what it is.
My legs became so painful this month that it hurts to walk all the time and I need to take PRESCRIPTION painkillers to help with the pain and even that doesn't completely take the pain away. I got tested yesterday and I don't have anemia, but I've had exercise induced asthma, but that shouldn't cause a problem with my legs.
if you have any ideas on what you think it might be, please, don't be afraid to write them down. I need all the help I can get |
