In the last three weeks I've been to the doctor twice. Each time I'm told I do indeed have a UTI. I am allergic to sulfur drugs so they will prescribe an antibotic. I can't remember the first one I started with but the second round was Keflex (seven days..the first round (can't remember the name)was only three days). Second round of antibotics, two different antibotics, and a longer dose and here I sit at 3am in pain because it is back again! I have suffered with these all my life! I am so tired! I can't enjoy sex because I am afraid we are getting things dirty and I will get a UTI! Anyway back to the subject; sex is not the culprit this time I know because I have newborn triplets. Who has time for sex??

I know that bacteria entering the uretha is what causes a UTI but can eating large amounts of sugar play any role in cultivating the problem? I just can't gather why it won't go away. Although I have asked the doctors to prescribe Amoxicillin (it worked for me in the past) they keep prescribing these antibotics I've never used. They say the bacteria could be resistant to amox but I think I need amox.

Any ideas??
