Thrombocitopenia

Hello, I am 40 years old and my wife is 33. She is suffering from thrombocytopenia after pregnancy. Her doctor recommended transfusion. He didn’t tell us if it is sever or don’t or even how serious this could be. I was wondering is there anyone who would like to share experience with us. Thank you.

Hello, I also had thrombocytopenia. In my case it was combination with several other things going wrong. It ended up that year later when I found that the group of dysfunctions was due to lupus. They didn’t give me transfusion since the doctors were working to control a group of symptoms. They were able to turn my health around without resorting to a transfusion. I think that she should be looking for the cause of the thrombocytopenia, as well. Take care!
