Hi. My skin is dry and I feel cold all the time. My thyroid gland got big. I went to see my doctor and he told me I have a thyroid disorder. I will have to measure the blood levels of my hormones, secreted by the thyroid gland. My doctor said it is the common test for detecting thyroid gland disorder. Anyway, I would like to hear more about thyroid disorder. What are my treatment options?

Hi. My child was born without a thyroid gland. Luckily, the defect was recognized early and that is really important in preventing possible serious problems. People with an overactive thyroid gland feel warm, they suffer from excessive sweating, trembling hands, and sometimes the thyroid gland may swell. Meds are effective for such cases. Most patients with overactive thyroid gland take thyroid hormone.

We represent "Unauthorized Ad", an on-line company supplying customized vitamin supplements to the USA. We hope this information may be of interest to you.

Hives (urticaria) is an allergic reaction in the skin characterized by white or pink welts or large bumps surrounded by redness. These welts are known as wheal and flare lesions and are caused primarily by the release of histamine (an allergy mediator) in the skin. About 50% of people with chronic hives develop angioedema—a deeper, more serious form of hives involving the tissue below the surface of the skin.

Dr Balch's nutritional team has created a formula designed to help the body maintain optimal immune system health. Strong components have also been added to help reduce the levels of histamine in the system. Vitamin C is required for the formation of connective tissue and plays an important role in maintaining proper immune function. Several studies have suggested that Vitamin B12 may help reduce the frequency and severity of hives. Quercetin is a bioflavonoid which possesses beneficial antioxidant qualities. Green Tea contains the polyphenols epigallocatechin (EGC) and epicatechin gallate (ECG) that have been reported to have an antihistamine effect in in vitro tests.

Dr. Balch works with "Unauthorized Ad" to provide custom-made natural remedies for anyone who wants an all-in-one daily supplement that addresses all their health concerns, as well as providing the vitamins and minerals needed for optimum health and wellness.

If you are concerned or unsure about your symptoms, please contact your healthcare provider for professional medical advice.
