Tightness almost 2 months after TT

I had my TT on Dec 27, 06 and my neck still feels tight all the time. There's also some weird feeling when I swallow. However, my oncologist cleared me on my last scan. I just want to know if the tightness will ever go away....thanks..

Hi, I had my TT on 9/1/05 and I still have tightness in my throat. I will say that it is better than it was last year at this time but it has been a slow improvement. It is probably from the scar tissue that forms in the area where the thyroid was removed. I also felt like something was in my throat when I swallowed the first 9 months or so but that is better now. I can't tell you if your throat will ever feel "normal" again, I often wonder that myself. I'm beginning to suspect that it won't. I understand what you are going through if that helps any.
