Tingling scrotum, what's it mean?

Ok well first off I havnt had intercourse or oral sex with anyone in about 8 months. But just a few days ago I noticed a tingling sensation in my testicles and penis. I have basically had the tingling sensation from then till now. The sensation is mild, uncomfortable at most. Not really painful. There are no appearances of any sores on or around my genital area either. Is it still possible that this could be some sort of STD after 8 months, or is it maybe something else? Thanks.

Hi there! It is quite possible that you had caught some of the STDs even though you had sex ages ago. The symptoms of chlamydia are usually mild and absent, which makes it hard to notice. Chlamydia’s symptoms are easily confused with gonorrhea’s because they are similar and the diseases can even occur together but I honestly think that you would have probably noticed gonorrhea’s symptoms by now, so I would rule out that one immediately. However, suspicion for chlamidya still exists.
Besides STDs, I can think of prostatitis or epididymitis, both inflammations, of prostate gland and epididymitis. You should pay a little visit to an urologist; have some tests done , so you can sleep calmly. It may be nothing as well!!!

Okay a couple days after this post, I noticed some redness at the tip of my penis, but the tingling sensation eventually faded. There were still uncomfortable feelings in my geintal area, but right now it has almost completely went away. I have yet to get tested. I am kind of afraid to get tested because I dont even know where to go, who to go to, how to go about asking and getting an appointment, and do it without my parents knowledge lol.

The first doctor you should seek is an urologist. You say you have a problem with your genital organ, there is nothing to be embarrassed about, it is why they are there for, and then ask how it is possible to get an appointment. Say you would like it as soon as possible. I don’t know how it works in your country; these things differ from one country to another. Just don’t be embarrassed. It would be easier if your parents new but if you can’t tell them, then figure out something on your own. I am 30years old, and just 5 years ago I realized that my parents are actually my best friends. They are somebody who will always want to help you without expecting anything in return. It is very hard to say like this over the internet because glans redness can be caused by who know what!!!! ( if you know what I mean). It is like saying I have a headache.
