Most of you know I had my tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy 2 weeks and 1 day ago. Oh God, after my tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy I am unable to sleep well. (It should be reverse huh?) My legs keep wanting to move, I feel uncomfortable at night and I don't get much sleep anymore. If I do fall asleep I wake up at the middle of the night and can't fall asleep. Today I have been awake since 3 in the morning I just can't fall asleep my legs keep wanting to move and move. I don't see how tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy can be connected to my problem, but I didn't have RLS symtoms until after about two days after the surgery. Has anybody had the same problem?

Thanks

Are you on anything to keep your stomache from being upset from the pain meds or benedry? Any of these can cause a reaction called akathasia. It can be as mild as just feeling a bit restless to feeling like you are about to jump out of your own skin. If you think this is the case your doctor can change your med or you can try not taking it. Valium is great for getting the symptoms calmed down. Hope this helps someone.
