| Hello I have a daughter, 24 years of age. Couple of years ago, she was diagnosed with epilepsy. She often had convulsions, with fainting and spasms. Her doctor was constantly changing her therapy, trying to find the proper combination of drugs that would help her. Now, she is on Topomax, I hope it will help her more then previous drugs. Still, I know that side effects could be really bad thing for my girls, so I wonder what are Topomax side effects? |

| Well, side effects in this type of drugs are almost inevitable. As for Topomax, usually prescribed dosage is 200 400 mg per day (this amount because of convulsions). There are side effects, but do not let that frighten you, those do not emerge in all patients (occurrence also depends on the dosage). The symptoms you should watch are anorexia, insomnia, confusion, loss of concentration... |
