I have heard horror stories about mixing Topomax with the Ketogenic diet for some children. What happens if they are mixed and does this happen in a large percentage or just stray cases? My son has been on Topomax, Phenobarb, Ativan, Depakote and Klonipin for 3 years and was put on the Ketogenic diet in April after his VNS was no longer helpful. Now that he has 5 seizure meds, the VNS and Keto diet, I am nervous that he is being over treated, but don't know what to look for as he has severe Extrapyramidal CP so he doesn't talk or walk anyway. Can someone give me something to look for?
