I was taking toprol xl 50 mg a day and then I found out I was pregnant. Luckily I found out around 2-3 weeks but now I am 13 weeks and my Dr wants to send me for genetics counseling and a level II u/s. Should I be worried that the Dr thinks something is wrong?

I have just found out that I am pregnant and I'm taking 25mg a day of toprol. I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow morning but was just wondering if you had any advice or understanding of what the side effects might be.

I was on Toprol too when I found out I was pregnant. I weaned off as soon as possible. Did everything work out for your pregnancy? Your response would really help me to know what to do.
