Hello! My sister was in a car accident a month ago in which one of her friends were severely injured. She herself suffered some minor injuries but I think she still has problems coping with all of this. She is way too nervous and irritable, asocial and she is usually not like that but rather friendly. Is there anything I can do to help her get going or go over this because she certainly won’t have any counseling?

Hello! You can try talking to her about the accident and the way she felt at the moment and after it, the way she feels now regarding her injured friend and stuff like that. It would be good if she has some sort of activities like sports if she’s not into people at the moment. Help her go back to her previous activities, hobbies and habits i.e make her go back to her usual activities. But be patient if she’s not up to it yet. I hope everything works out just fine.
