Hello! My really good friend is suffering from lupus nephritis. She does not want to talk about her disease, but I am very concerned. That is why I want to know what Treatment for lupus nephritis is usually prescribed. This is very important to me and I really hope you will be able to provide me with more information.

Hello! She is taking drugs which will improve kidney function. These drugs are probably corticosteroids or other immunosuppressive medications. But, if lupus nephritis damaged her kidneys too much, maybe she goes to dialysis, too. In some cases of this disease, patients need kidneys transplantation, too. Hope this answer helps you a little bit.
