Trimmer Cut on Scrotum.

I used a trimmer to shave however, I cut myself on the right side of my scrotum. I used neosporin, that seemed to be ineffective. Now theres a red rash present, and the cut is visible. Any suggestions.

i just had the same thing happen to me. cut scrotum with trimmer. i put on antibiotic cream. the pain isn't too bad, though i have some very dark red marks. this shouldn't cause any long term damage should it?

Not sure. It seems that the rash spread after i used neosporin. I am gonna see a doctor tomorrow.

i just cut my scrotum with scissors, you guys think you had it bad! let me tell you, it won't stop bleeding theres a gash about 2 inches long and i noticed a chunk of flesh on the scissors. most disgusting thing i've ever had happen to me, also the scariest. i can see inside my scrotum! im on my way to the ER, hopefully they can fix it. im hoping they wont have to stitch it, cause that would be horrible as you can imagine. and if that does have to happen, i wonder how they'll freeze it. you know how when they freeze something it expands largely? i can just imagine my testicle swelling up like a baseball haha. im trying to keep a sense of humour about this, which should be understandable.
to the dummy who posted the last post. no when you cut your scrotum semen does not pour out! obviously you haven't hit puberty, cause if you have you'd know that you need to produce semen by penile stimulation. and unless you actually cut a testicle and not just the protective scrotum im sure you have no worries about semen coming out. man some people just have no common sense whatsoever. but as for me, im off to the ER before all the blood drains out of me. wish me luck fellow scrotum cutters.

Any cut in the skin should be treated with either an antibiotic or an anticeptic, like "Bactene" or "Neosporin", but given the concers of sweat, cleanliness and cramped contact, these may not be effective without constant attention to keep the cut clean.

As for use of sissors, trimmer or other sharp impliments, just what are you guys doing? Trimming your pubic hair? Is it really that important to you? Oh well, it's too late, as you each have a small nick now.

Yes, there may be a small scar, but over time, it may fade. It also may appear brighter red, as the scrotum swells or stretches and has good blood supply.

My advice is to keep it clean, and not to obsess over it. Be more careful with your mustashe trimmer/beard trimmer and avoid these concerns in the future.
