Two Missed Periods but I'm on the Pill!

I have been on the pill for almost 5 years now and have been one two different kinds since then. Since that I have been on the same pill for almost 3 years. I missed my period last month for no reason and 2 pregnancy tests on different days indicate I am not pregnant. I missed it again this month and took a test which also indicated I'm not pregnant. I'm so confused..why is this happening?
