Hi, I have only two weeks to my tonsils surgery. I know it’s pretty safe, but I’m nervous anyway. Have any of you removed your tonsils?

Hi, I had this surgery few years ago. I was diagnosed with chronic tonsillitis, and a doctor recommended me to have my tonsils removed. I had to spend the night in the hospital, which was the worst part of this surgery. I hate hospitals! It was very uncomfortable and painful, and I couldn’t speak that day at all. However, I quickly recovered and had no complications. Don’t be scared, this is a very simple surgery, and you will recover soon. The thing that I hated most about my tonsils were those little pockets with food. I had a terrible breath because of them, and I was very happy when I got rid of them.

| Hope you surgery goes well, I just had mine taken out on the fifth of December, all I can say is be VERY patient, the goes increases and decreases in waves, somedays I feel great, others I regret doing it, its been about a week now and I am finally able to start eating more than just sherbert, I recommend staying away from dairy, don't listen to everyone that says have all the ice cream you want, because this just leaves a horrible build-up in the back of your throat. Let me know how you are doing, we can get through this together! |
