UNPROTECTED!!!! 8 wks after vascetomy should i be concerned for preg 8 days after 1st day period???

i finished up my bc just before my hubbys vascetomy, post my hubbys vascetomy 8 wks later we had unprotected intercourse w/ no bc and he ejaculated in me just 8 days after the 1st day of mylast menstral period after quiting bc is there a possiblility I could get pregnant? he has not yet had his 6 weeeks check yet!, and how soon can a blood test detect it if i had my gyno test me?
