I am almost 6 months pregnant. My doctor has signed me off work for two weeks because the baby is too low down. He scheduled nest ultrasound in two weeks. I am so worried and I feel very heavy. My cervix is still closed. I would like to know what the risks are.

I suppose he signed you out to minimize the stress which can sometimes bring about contractions and cause a premature labor if the baby is low down. It is great that your cervixes closed, make the most of your time off work to rest and relax. Try to avoid standing for long periods of time, as it is not at all relaxing for the uterus. Two weeks is not long, wait to see what will ultrasound show.
