Ultrasound to treat Plantar Fasciatis

We have heard of using a deep ultrasound treatment for Plantar Fasciatis. The patient is put under due to the intensity of the treatment.
Has any one heard of this of or had any experience with it?

I had shockvave treatment in 2004 it was very painful procedure, but well worth it, your foot will get worse before it gets better. Because of the area is irrated so your body will realize theres a problem and heal that area. 3 months later my foot began to feel better and better. until no pain at all.
sorry to say 2 years later it came back. my insurence dosen't cover the expensive procedure any more. I just had surgery. Iam going to have my other foot done when this one heals. Total time off from work is 3 months.
PS I wish I was put under for the procedure, It wasnot an option.
