Unkown matter and excessive bleeding?!?

Hi this happens on and off but recently ive been bleeding for a long period of time then it just stopped for three weeks, then the other day i went to the toilet and lots of blood and huge chunks of some kind of matter came out. Unsure what it was but certainly not just blood. Am real worried. Any ideas on what it could be?
