Unprotected Sex while on Birth Control; Haven't had a period

Ok, I started taking birth control in the middle of December. I took them before I started my period because I knew I would be going out of town. I had a period around the 26th of December. I went out of town the second week of January to visit my boyfriend. I noticed I was spotting some before I went to see him. I continued spotting the few days I was there. We had unprotected sex several times. I quit taking my birth control about a week after I got back because I was still spotting. That was around the 23rd of January. I bled for a couple days after I stopped but that was it. Was that my period? I haven't had one since then.

I don't know if that was your period but you should not just take these tablets whenever you want or whenever is easiest for you.
These tablets contain strong hormones and need time to act on your body, it's not good just to start and stop.
I think you need to speak to your doctor and get advice on how to take these.

There is also the chance of pregnancy as it seems you had sex before the tablets really had time to take effect.

Birth control is a great way to stop pregnancy when used properly and they can also make your periods regular so I would suggest you speak to your doctor again, it really seems you need some advice.

Yes I know that you are not supposed to just start taking the pills whenever you feel like. I read on some sites that if you started taking the pills a couple weeks before your actual period, it could delay your period, which is what I wanted to do since I knew I was going out of town. It didn't delay my period though. The pills I was taking were actually a pretty low dose of hormones.

When I first started taking birth control about a year ago, I had a period for two weeks because the effects of the pill making my hormones change. You might've just been spotting because of the birth control, but I agree with hearted. You should talk with your doctor about birth control.
