me and my girlfriend have had unprotected sex. shes on the Yasmin 28's shes been several hours late sometimes early but she didn't get her period what so ever? do birth control pills sometimes not cause a period?

It depends on the pills but yes, some bc pills cause periods to disappear or appear every three months.

However, if her period is late, she better do a home pregnancy test to make sure she is not pregnant because no bc pills are 100% safe.
