| Hi, I am 45 year old man. I am a worker. Recently I was diagnosed with Huntingtons disease. For therapy I got antipsychotic drugs. I am not an expert in medicine at all. To tell the true I know how to use aspirin and that is it. What concerns me is something I heard couple days ago. I heard that antipsychotic drugs are used for people with difficult psychiatric problems. Why, then, doctor gave me them, if I do not have mental symptoms? |

| Antipsychotic drugs are group of medicines that are used in psychiatry, but in neurology too. Both groups of disorders are happening because some thing is wrong in the brain. Your illness is neurological, but while progresses it will develop psychiatric symptoms. In order to slow down progress of your mental symptoms, doctor gave you antipsychotic drugs. In my case it was like I said. |
