I am a 36-year-old male who had unprotected sexual intercourse with an unknown female on Dec 10. Very, very stupid I know - the guilt and stupidity is etched in my mind daily.
I had no symptoms, but went to the doctor on Dec 14. because it was killing me to not know anything. He checked for obvious symptoms and told me that he could not test for anything right now, but prescribed a five-day dose of Zithromax (500mg). I had intiially taken Zithromax (1 gram) on Dec 12. and followed-up with 500 mg on Dec 13. I did not know if this would take of anyhting during the incubation period or not - I was that worried.
Nevertheless, I took the prescription as prescribed. I had no symptoms until Dec 22. A very, very slight discharge (white) I noticed on my underwear. I took another does of Zithromax (1 gram). On Dec 24. I began to have very slight groin pain (possibly lymph nodes) with very moderate discharge (white or clear).
On Dec 26. I took another dose of Zithromax (1 gram) when I noticed the same symptoms as above. I have had no other symptoms (burning during urination, rashes, sores or lesions, etc.). I am going back to the doctor, but I would appreciate it if anyone could share with me any similar experiences or expectations. The thought of STD or STI is killing me.
