Posted: 04/11/07 - 02:27 Post subject: Vaginal discharge since childhood |
|
|
| I'm 21 and ever since I can remember I've had problems with a whitish to yellowish discharge. I get it every day. It can come with different consistencies, and sometimes has an odor. I've always been way too humiliated to discuss this problem with anyone, even doctors, because I always assumed it would go away. Now I'm becoming very worried about it. I know it can't be an STD because I've had it since childhood...can this be something serious? |

| I've always had vaginal discharge since before I started menstruating. I had read/been told that vaginal discharge was normal so I never have even thought anything about it, lol. I never thought/hoped it would go away, I just thought it was one of those curses that goes with being female = / |

i can relate, and can say, if you've had it forever (since become an adult i would imagine) it's natural.
It's your bodies way of keeping the pipes clear- so to speak. Some women have very little discharge- to the point where it's not noticible, others, have a lot. varies.
myself, i have a lot. how much varies from day to day, but i always have to wear a panty liner. if you guys are suffering from a lot of 'natural' discharge that's really all you can do.
Always is a good panty liner, you may have to change it several times a day. if your embarassed to talk about it, get a woman doctor. odds are good she will know exactly you are talking about and emphasise and stuff like that. |

| Ditto - I was told at a young age that it was bacterial vaginosis - basically it means your body has more bad then good bacteria. Best way to get rid of it is to drink tons of water, douche regularly, and eat lots of yogurt - sometimes it can even help to douche with a bit of yogurt. A clean body system = clean down there. |
