Very light brown watery discharge 12 days after period

I'm sexually active and have sex regularly. The last time I had sex was probably 3-5 days ago and for the past 3 days I have had very light brown and watery discharge. Why might this be?

depends on the texture of the discharge.
Is it slippery? Slippery (like mucous), clear watery discharge is the normal fertile stuff around ovulation. The brown colour, old blood, may be the sex you had but could be a bit of blood that some women have around ovulation. It's something to do with shifting hormones.
If your period comes 12-14-16 days from now, that's your answer. (the days between ovulation and the first day of the period is almost always the same amount of days, every cycle. but this is different for every woman. Mine tend to be 10-12 days)

If it has an unpleasant smell, that's always cause for a visit to the doctor.
