| I'm a otherwise very healthy 50 year old woman who had a BAD cold with fever in January. After two weeks of upper respiratory symptoms, I started to feel better...but I began to feel as though the left side of my brain was vibrating. It would come and go throughout the day, and sometimes it lasted for hours at a time. After 2 wks., I was asymptomatic for three days. On that last day, I had an appt. with a neurologist who diagnosed me with post viral neuritis. The symptoms later returned although instead of being localized to the left side of my brain, the feeling is a bit fainter, and its location is more in the lower back of the head. Anyway, I will have a MRI of my head this week. Meanwhile, I have sensed 3 things that can bring on the vibrating sensation: adreniline (my head was quiet when I thought I lost a credit card and my head flared up with vibration immediately); glucose (my brain by beginning to vibrate rather than my stomach now tells me I am hungry); temperature (I was hiking with no symptoms and removed my cap and immediately I had the vibrating symptoms). Have you seen patients with similiar problems? My biggest question: will this last forever or will the body hopefully heal itself? Thank you. PS I have stopped all caffeine since this started (never drank coffee only green and some black tea). |
