Viruses causing Neurological Symptoms

My girlfriend and I are experiencing many neurological symptoms including numbness, tingling, burning, tremors, and weakness in the extremities. Recently, I feel my entire left side is going numb. I believe that a virus may be to blame because we are both experiencing the symptoms. I’ve had many tests and seen many doctors including neurologists and infectious disease specialists, and have yet to be given any beneficial answers or causality. I do have EBV. Is this virus alone a potential culprit? What actions should we take now?
