I had chalazion surgery two weeks ago. Before the surgery my doctor told me that my vision was being affected by the chalazion -- it was causing a temporary astigmatism. He removed the chalazion surgically and told me my vision should return in a week or so. It's been two weeks and I'm still having vision issues. The swelling from the surgery has gone down but my vision has not returned to normal. Has anyone experienced this or have some advice for me. It's freaking me out. I had 20/15 vision before the chalazion appeared.

Thanks!!!

I also had chalazion surgery two weeks ago and I am also having vision issues. The swelling has gone totally but my vision has not turned to normal. I was examined by my doctor before the surgery and I had a small vision problem but before I had chalazion my vision was perfect. He told me that this can be because of the pressure of the chalazion.
Now I had the surgery, and I have a small amount of liquid going out from my eye. I think thats why it causes vision problems. My doctor told me to to wait more 2-3 weeks to see how it will change.

I just had my chalazion surgery today. My doc said it's 4-6 weeks before all is back to normal, including the vision.
