Orthosiphone stamineus leaves are widely used in dietary formulations. It is known as java tea. Orthosiphone helps liquids elimination and is also used to treat articular pain. I guess that diuretic effect is not enough for WEIGHT LOSS to be goaled. Orthosiphone works well in combination with chitosan or glucomannan, which are bulking agents. It makes one feels satiated with fewer calories than normal. Fucus can affect basal metabolism that is also important part of losing weight. So, orthosiphone has its role in WEIGHT LOSS programs, but usually in combinations with other different herbal blends.
