Was it my bodies reaction to not having the pill?

I am 17. I am on the pill, but I went out of town and ran out. my period came as usual but stayed for around 2 weeks then quit. When I got back in to town on the 22, and my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex. The day after I started to spot. I don't think I've had any symptoms, but I have not had a period or spotting since. Im not sure if this was my bodies reaction to not having the pill, or if I am pregnant. Should I be worried?
