Week late and spotting am I stressing or not

So my boyfriend and I had sex a few weeks ago it started out playing around unprotected but then we used a condum. Now I am a week late but I am spotting lightly, have cramps now and then and when I took a pregnancy test it was negative. I wonder if I'm still screwed up from getting off birth control but that was two months ago. Am I just paranoid or do i have problem?
