Weight gain by taking advair for 10 months.

I have allergie driven asthma. In January I started on Advair and nasonex once a day. I have now gained 15 lbs. My doc did not tell me that it had steriods. I stopped taking it in October. I am exercising as before but my weight is not going down. How long does it take to lose the weight due to steroids. Please help
