| Hello, I am extreamly confused as to whats going on here and i'm desperate for ANY input on this. Ok, I have 2 kids and I had a m/c on christmas of 05. i was 8 weeks along. after that i had regular periods. I have never kept track of how long my cycle is. But I started to last month. My cycle seems to be 23 days! I am not sure exactly when i ovulate, but i'm pretty sure when i do. last cycle and this cycle, about a week after my period is done, i get this really odd cervical mucus. it seems very very mucusy and stretchy but it's been a little brown! (TMI sorry lol) and it lasts for about 4 days or so. my last period showed up pretty early and was 3 days and pretty light. normaly my periods are about 5-6 days and i have some heavy bleeding for a day or so. i'm not exactly sure what the brown CM means or what my last light period means. if it means anything. I took a hpt the day i started bleeding very lightly and it was neg. i havent taken once since then. has anyone had anything like this or know why i could be having the brown CM? please please help me out here, i'm going nuts! lol thanks |

Hi. It sounds like the stretchy CM that you are getting is the type that is seen around ovulation. Most woman ovulate around the last day that this type of CM appears. I am not sure what is going on with your periods being light, could just be your body sorting itself out after the miscarriage. If the discharge is brown then it is probably old blood. I wouldn't be too concerned about it, it is probably just left over from your period

| Thank you very much for the reply. I was thinking it was old blood as well, I just needed to get a second opinion on this lol I'm not worried because I dont have any cramping, or fevers or anything like that. And i'm not sure why I had a light period. The only other time I've had a period like that was when I was pregnant with my son. we are TTC #3 so i'm not tryin to get my hopes up here lol but again..thank you for the reply |
