Welbutrin instead of Zyban for smoking cesation

Hi, I am 38 years old female and I would like to quit smoking. I was smoking for more than 18 years and finally I have decided to quit with it because of my children. My friend told me that I may try Welbutrin instead of Zyban as it worked better for her. I would like to know if someone tried these two medications.

Hi, I was using Zyban and I would like to tell you it is the same medication just duration is different. Both of these medications are bupropion, antidepressant which may be used in therapy of smoking. However it would be good to consult your doctor before you start to take this medication as it has some side effects.
