I decided to have my wisdom teeth removed. I can’t stand the pain anymore, but what I am afraid of is do I need to be put to sleep. I am terrified of anesthesia.
I asked my dentist and she said that there is a new kind of anesthesia they use for wisdom teeth removal that doesn't "knock you out". Instead, it puts you into a conscious sleep, just temporary. You are awake, but not aware of what is happening, and when it is over, you do not remember anything. You are not actually put to sleep.
