What Irritates Your Malar Rash or Discoid Rash?

I recently had a biopsy of a discoid rash on my face. There was no pain, it did bleed a little, but never itched or hurt. I was diagnosed with LE, even though my ANA came back negative. I experience fatigue when in the sun. I am on prednisone to control the malar butterfly. I need some advice what irritate discoid rash. Thank you.

I have the same problem, malar rash across the cheeks and the bridge of the nose, but they never did biopsy of a discoid rash on my face. Anyway, I have to use hypoallergenic makeup. Also there are lots of soaps I can't use (Dove, Palmolive…) some shampoos too. My doctor told me I should use dial only, but I like my safe guard better. However, I can't use hairspray or heavy starches…
