What are acebutolol capsules?

My father has heart problems for some time now. Last time he was at the doctor’s he has been recommended to take acebutolol. I am very worried for him and I am not sure what is that mentioned drug used for. Can you explain me that? I would jut want to see him happy and safe.

Acebutolol is beta blocker and is used for dealing with hypertension, angina pectoris and is given after the infarct, for glaucoma and thireotoxicosis. It will help him in regulating the heart problems. As for the unwanted effect, it is very important for him to take the medication regularly. That is the only way for the medication to show its effect.
