My brother is Huntington sufferer for 3 years. His getting various medications but there are some signs of malnutrition, due the higher calorie needs as result of metabolic disorder. Is there any nutrition regimen for HD sufferers? How many meals they have to take? How often? Is it necessary tube feeding?

Before supplementing daily nutrition with any vitamins or minerals, take in to consideration any other clinical conditions associated with HD. It is recommended that patients get their vitamins and minerals from food. Recommended supplements in HD are beta-carotene, vitamin B-6, B-12, vitamin C and vitamin E and also, calcium, folic acid, magnesium and selenium.
