My cousin is a diabetic for years. She is 29 and now she is pregnant. You can understand that I can not ask her is it safe for her to be pregnant and now I’m worry a lot. Please, tell me What are possible pregnancy complications in an insulin dependent diabetict? Thanks!

Don’t worry! Women with diabetes can have a successful pregnancy. She probably will test her blood more frequently and do more consultations with her doctor. But, if you really want to know about possible complications, I can tell you what I know. She can have a large baby but the most common complication of diabetic pregnancy is toxemia.
