What are stages of congestive heart failure?

My grandpa has congestive heart failure. His doctor told that he is in end-stage heart failure. I understood that his condition is very serious and that maybe is no cure for him. But still I hope. Please, does anybody can tell me What are stages of congestive heart failure? Thanks!

The end-stage doesn’t need to mean the end. Implanted heart pumps can significantly extend and improve the lives of some people with end-stage heart failure who aren't eligible for or able to undergo heart transplantation or are waiting for a new heart. I’m not sure how much stages of congestive heart failure are there.
