What are symptoms of lipomas?

I would like to know what symptoms of lipomas are. My friend claims that he has one on his leg, but to me it is nothing but a small bump and it does not look dangerous at all. But is it? He said that thee is no need for him to go to a doctor but perhaps he should, just in case. What do you think?

Well, small bump is usually a symptom of lipoma, and that is nothing more than accumulated fat tissue, most commonly positioned under the surface of the skin and therefore it is visible. The good thing is, it is completely benign, although there might be some complications. I don’t think that he has to go to a doctor, only if it does not passes on its own.
