My mother, ever since she entered menopause, has problems with her heart. These problems are manifested with angina pectoris. Her status has become worse now and I would like to know something more about beta blockers. What are the best medications for her? She also suffers form cold extremities and that is big problem too for her.

The best option when it comes to beta blockers for her therapy is cardio selective beta blockers. They will prevent the occurring of unwanted side effects such as bradicardia and cold extremities. But be aware that this is only a recommendation, proper therapy will be determined after a consultation with a doctor.
