What are the chances of aneurysm rupture?

My father has just come from his visit to doctor. He has aneurysm in his neck. Now I’m frightened because I’m not informed enough about this illness. Only I know is that it can be pretty dangerous if aneurysm rupture. Tell me, please, What are the chances of aneurysm rupture? Thanks!

Fist that you should know is that some of aneurysms will go forever undetected, and will never rupture. Many cases of ruptured aneurysm can be prevented with early diagnosis and medical treatment. So, if your father has good treatment, everything will be ok. I read somewhere that the chance of rupture is between 0.1 to 2 percent annually.
